Shincheonji Church Marks 40 Years of Global Outreach and Religious Dialogue

The Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Temple of the Tabernacle of Testimony, is celebrating its 40th anniversary, marking a journey from humble beginnings to a worldwide presence. Founded in 1984 with an outdoor gathering, the church now reaches thousands of congregations globally, emphasizing biblical teachings and interfaith dialogue.

From its initial meetings without a permanent space to establishing a headquarters in Gwacheon, seen as a fulfillment of prophecy, the church has grown significantly. The Zion Christian Mission Center, a cornerstone of its educational efforts, has graduated over 100,000 students since 1991, spreading its interpretations of the Bible far and wide.

Despite challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, Shincheonji adapted by moving seminars online, resulting in partnerships with hundreds of churches worldwide. This adaptability has not only sustained but expanded its global influence, with congregations in 77 countries now part of its network.
