Amy Grant Champions Women's Heart Health in Collaboration with American Heart Association

Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Amy Grant is using her platform to shine a light on the critical issue of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in women, in partnership with the American Heart Association (AHA). Following her own life-saving open-heart surgery in 2020, Grant is now at the forefront of a campaign aimed at increasing awareness and funding for research into women's heart health. This initiative is particularly timely, given that CVD remains the leading cause of death among women in the U.S., responsible for one in five female deaths each year.

The collaboration between Grant and the AHA seeks to address the glaring disparities in awareness and research concerning women's heart health. Despite nearly 45% of women over 20 living with some form of cardiovascular disease, women continue to be underrepresented in clinical trials, leading to significant gaps in understanding how CVD uniquely affects them.
