Military Spouse Advocacy Network Launches Leadership Institute to Empower Military Spouses

The Military Spouse Advocacy Network (MSAN) has taken a significant step forward in supporting military spouses with the launch of the Leadership Institute for Military Spouses (LIMS). This innovative initiative offers a series of free, virtual leadership courses developed in collaboration with Ivy-League universities, top military leaders, and influential community voices. The program is designed to address the unique challenges faced by military spouses, including frequent relocations and career disruptions, by providing them with the tools to develop leadership skills, resilience, and a sense of purpose.

LIMS will feature five training courses, including the already successful Military Spouse Leadership Development Program (MSLDP), which has graduated over 300 leaders since its inception in 2021. In partnership with Harvard University's National Preparedness Leadership Initiative, the MSLDP awards certificates in Leadership in Crisis and Mental Health Allyship. New programs, developed with the University of Notre Dame, will focus on ethical leadership and mental health, alongside the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) for those at the start of their leadership journey.

Beyond the classroom, LIMS graduates will join an Alumni Network, offering continuous support through events, workshops, and mentorship. This network aims to sustain a community of empowered military spouses capable of effecting positive change.
