Comcast RISE Program Empowers Wasatch Front Small Businesses with $3 Million in Grants

The Comcast RISE program is making a significant impact on small businesses in the Wasatch Front region of Utah, with a commitment to provide 100 local entrepreneurs with grant packages valued at $3 million. Each selected business will receive a $5,000 monetary grant, a technology makeover including computer equipment and internet services, a professionally produced 30-second television commercial, media strategy consultation, and access to 12 months of online entrepreneurial education resources. These resources are tailored to address the immediate and long-term needs of small businesses, ensuring they have the tools to thrive.

Eligibility for the program extends to small businesses in Bluffdale, Draper, Herriman, Riverton, Sandy, South Jordan, West Jordan, and White City, with applications open from May 1 to May 31. This initiative is part of Comcast's broader Project UP, which aims to create digital opportunities and foster economic development through support for small businesses.

J.D. Keller, senior vice president of Comcast's Mountain West Region, highlighted the critical role small businesses play in economic development, underscoring the importance of programs like RISE in providing the necessary support for growth and sustainability.
