Miramar Park of Commerce and Sunbeam Properties & Development Amplify Support for 'Hangin’ with 5-0' Youth Camp

The Miramar Park of Commerce and Sunbeam Properties & Development have increased their support for the 'Hangin’ with 5-0' police-youth camp, a program that has been fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and underserved youth in the Miramar community for over 20 years. The recent sponsorship of a beach clean-up and barbecue at Hollywood North Park Beach by these organizations showcases the program's expanding influence and commitment to community engagement.

Ryan Goggins, Vice President at Sunbeam Properties & Development, emphasized the importance of the camp in building enduring connections between young participants and police officers. The camp provides a range of activities, such as beach days, Everglades tours, and movie outings, aimed at offering a secure and enriching summer experience for children aged nine to 14.

Sunbeam Properties & Development's partnership with 'Hangin’ with 5-0' began 16 years ago when the company provided funding to sustain the camp after city budget cuts. This initiative is part of Sunbeam's broader commitment to the Miramar community, which includes contributions to the Ansin Sports Complex and the Ansin Family Gallery at the Miramar Cultural Center.
