Trollinger Law LLC Honors Southern Maryland's 2025 Hometown Heroes for Their Community Impact

Trollinger Law LLC has announced the recipients of its 2025 Hometown Heroes Awards, celebrating the exceptional contributions of first responders in Southern Maryland. This year's honorees, Retired Sgt. Gus Proctor, Lt. Everett West, and Carl Schinner, have been recognized for their dedication beyond the call of duty and their significant impact on the community.

Retired Sgt. Gus Proctor, with a 30-year career in law enforcement, has been instrumental in community organizing and fundraising, notably for the Special Olympics Maryland. Lt. Everett West, a Marine Corps veteran, has initiated programs like the Kids and Cruisers Car Show and Shop With a Cop, fostering strong community ties. Carl Schinner, with nearly four decades in law enforcement, has led innovative safety initiatives and advocated for inclusive policing practices.

The awards highlight the profound influence these individuals have had, not only in their professional capacities but also through their voluntary community service. Their efforts exemplify the spirit of leadership and responsibility, setting a benchmark for public service. The winners will be honored at DC United games and during Trollinger Law's First Responders Night at the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs game on September 13.
