19th Annual Dragonfest Expo to Celebrate Martial Arts Heritage and Support Cultural Preservation

The 19th Annual Dragonfest expo, hosted by the Martial Arts History Museum, is scheduled for August 2, 2025, at the Glendale Civic Auditorium. This event not only celebrates Asian culture and heritage but also serves as a global gathering for martial arts fans to honor the sport's legacy and support the museum's preservation efforts. Founded by Michael Matsuda, Dragonfest has grown into a key event for martial arts history, featuring industry legends and stars.

From 11 am to 5 pm, attendees will have the opportunity to explore over 100 booths showcasing jewelry, martial arts supplies, artwork, and anime. The event will also feature autograph signings by notable figures such as Michael Jai White and Cynthia Rothrock. Additionally, six lecture classes led by martial arts luminaries like Benny Uquidez and Don Wilson, along with performances including Chinese Lion dancing and Hawaiian dances, will highlight the diverse aspects of Asian culture.

Michael Matsuda highlights the event's importance beyond the celebrity appearances, focusing on the collective effort to preserve martial arts history for future generations. As a charity event, all proceeds will directly benefit the Martial Arts History Museum, ensuring its continued operation and the safeguarding of martial arts heritage.
